Piano roll melody sequencer, in the browser

A scale-locked piano roll with timbres and an FX chain, so wrong notes are harder to hit and the melody you sketch already sounds like it belongs in a track.

Try it

  1. Pick a scale (try A minor) and program an 8-note melody using only the highlighted keys.
  2. Change the timbre from a pluck to a pad and hear how the same melody reads differently.
  3. Send the melody through the FX chain and adjust one send until it sits in the mix.

What to listen for

The same eight notes read as a hook with a pluck timbre and as a texture with a pad. Melody and timbre are not separate decisions, they shape each other.
