Composition

Rhythm, melody, harmony, structure. Program the beat, lock in a chord progression, build the foundation of the track.

CH 04

Arrangement

From loop to full track. Builds, drops, breakdowns. Tension and release. The emotional grammar of dance music.

Mixing

EQ, compression, sidechain and stereo width. Balance every element and give each sound room to breathe.
