Chord progression generator for electronic music
Getting stuck on a chord progression is one of the most common places to get stuck at all. Generate one in any key and mode, hear it with bass and groove, and export it as MIDI.
Try it
- Pick a key and generate a progression. Then switch the mode from Aeolian to Dorian without stopping the loop: same progression, different chords.
- Move up the complexity levels one at a time while it plays, and read what each one adds.
- Try two grooves from the same genre and keep the one that sits in your track. Then export the MIDI and drag it into your DAW.
What to listen for
A generator gives you options faster than staring at a piano roll, but the ear still makes the final call. Treat every generated result as a draft, not a finished decision. The roman numerals under each chord are there so you can name what you liked and repeat it on purpose next time.
