This is a free chord progression generator for house, techno, organic house and afro house. Pick a key and one of eight modes, from Aeolian and Dorian to Phrygian Dominant, and it writes a progression with the bass and a groove playing under it. Every chord comes with its roman numeral, so you learn why the progression works instead of only keeping the result. When one sticks, export the MIDI to Ableton, Logic or FL Studio. What to listen for
A generator gives you options faster than staring at a piano roll, but the ear still makes the final call. Treat every generated result as a draft, not a finished decision. The roman numerals under each chord are there so you can name what you liked and repeat it on purpose next time.

How do I get the chords into Ableton, Logic or FL Studio?
Press Export MIDI. The file arrives as separate tracks for bass and chords, plus a kick track if you tick that box, so you can drag it into your DAW and choose your own sounds.
Which mode should I use for house or techno?
Aeolian, the natural minor, is the neutral ground for both. Dorian sounds warmer and suits organic and afro house; Phrygian is darker and shows up a lot in techno. Generate in one mode, then switch modes on the same progression and listen to what changes.
What do the complexity levels and the harmonic rhythm change?
The levels go from plain triads (Basic) to sevenths and ninths (Color), then Motion and Arrangement put the chords into a rhythmic pattern and build the part around them. Harmonic rhythm sets how long each chord lasts: one chord per bar is the most common in these genres, half a bar each feels more urgent.
